At his sixties too the prolific writer, Ruskin Bond continues writing in his typical style,  keeping pace with the generation and entertaining millions. Exellently illustrated, this collection of short stories are few amongst the best of this popular writer's works. It includes the famous <u>Grand father's private  zoo</u>, a favourite among little children and <u>Dust on the mountains,</u> a recent outlet but a lovely one. Raju meets a dancer, Rosie, married to a writer, and falls in love with her. Rosie is only her name, and does not describe her. She is a traditional Indian Dancer. <div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">Written by Edgar Rice Burroughs, the creator of Tarzan, this novel revolves around getting lost inside the earth, and adventures of few people. It resembles Journey to the centre of the earth in many cases, but storyline is somewhat different. A film was taken regarding this novel. You would be able to imagine what getting lost inside was like, but this would be completely different from your thoughts. However, it did not get much liking as it was felt impractical by many. Gulliver's Travels

<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">Lemuel Gulliver, made by his creator, Jonathan Swift, is very eager to go on adventures to several mysterious places, mostly through his ship. In one such adventure, he gets captured by tiny people, followed by another adventure where he gets to be tiny in front of others. This book was very humorous but in some placed I felt pity on him. I believe a couple of movies followed which could be interesting if you liked this book. Next adventures were much more interesting and difficult for Gulliver. I read the unabridged version which was a bit hard to understand as it contained very old English. Read and discover about all the theories in the world, or at least a large part of it, collectively known as M-Theory. Describes everything in the universe from the beginning of it to the end, and from nano particles to extra large objects like huge and gigantic stars. It answers many questions like "How the universe works?", or "Who created the universe?", and  "Is there any parallel universe?". I honestly say that people who can reserve large parts of their brains only for the purpose of thinking can get the true meaning of the texts in this book. Recommended for people above 15 years as it may be a little difficult to understand. Everything is completely confusing in this book. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time

<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">Mysterious novel. I don't recommend it to people who don't like to read long and extended texts. The author, Mark Haddon, extended the passages very long, which could have the same meaning if they were compressed. However, I liked this book, and it also did get many awards. The story consists of a young boy, Christopher, who was an eye-witness for a dog's murder, decides to investigate it and his whole life turns upside down. He has a fair understanding of animals and maths but lacks human understanding and is very intelligent, knowing the capital of every country and a lot of Prime Numbers. He also decides to find out about his dead mother, which yeilds him a shocking result and doesn't let his brian work. He often gets confused and almost gets lost in an unknown place. I don't recommend it for people below 13. Almost all the time, Charlie(main character)<br />is not in any way related to science fiction, and has a very good interest in knowing what is going on in his school staff room. He and his best friend get teleported to somewhere, not on earth, and suffer a lot to get out. Wonderful adventures follow between him and his family enemy, his sister, who at last agrees to help him. This book was only enjoyable at its peak at the last few chapters, though it was humorous from the starting itself. It is a must for anyone who loves sci-fi books.
