R.K Narayan is one of the most famous Indian writers. His writings are very versatile and so is Malgudi Days-a collection of sweet short stories. His simple style of writing encourages readers to read more of his works. Malgudi Days has such a vivid and detailed description of life in Southern India and the geographical features of the imaginary town of Malgudi that it leaves readers wondering where Malgudi really is. The characters in the book are universal and promise to entertain all types of readers. The portrayal of the different colors of Indian life is carried out wonderfully.The stories are written with subtle irony in a beautiful way. It's a must read book and I'm sure you'll enjoy reading it.
