Mysterious novel. I don't recommend it to people who don't like to read long and extended texts. The author, Mark Haddon, extended the passages very long, which could have the same meaning if they were compressed. However, I liked this book, and it also did get many awards. The story consists of a young boy, Christopher, who was an eye-witness for a dog's murder, decides to investigate it and his whole life turns upside down. He has a fair understanding of animals and maths but lacks human understanding and is very intelligent, knowing the capital of every country and a lot of Prime Numbers. He also decides to find out about his dead mother, which yeilds him a shocking result and doesn't let his brian work. He often gets confused and almost gets lost in an unknown place. I don't recommend it for people below 13. I enjoyed reading it and recommend it to people who read books of a famous fictional detective,Sherlock Holmes.
