<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">This book by Jules Verne is incredible with it's gripping story, thrilling language and loads of adventure. The famous classic is very informative too due to it's detailed description about the places Mr. Phileas Fogg visited in order to  win the challenge cum bet he had given to his companions that he could travel all round the world in just 80 days.......Oh! Am I revealing too much? Ok..Let me tell you a bit more. <br /><br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div>Nobody knew what Mr. Fogg did ,cause he spoke very little of himself, but everyone was familiar with one thing of his i.e. his commitment.  After starting off, huge difficulties and dangers lay on his way  (well not just troubles but also a few delightful moments .....read to discover) but Mr. Fogg still proceeds with a brave heart, determination and endurance(who would like to lose a twenty thousand pounds and ruin his whole life?:P).The lead(Mr Fogg) uses all means to complete his journey( ship, train, elephant and sledge) . Malgudi Adventures

<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">Up with another R.K Narayan book which is a collection of short stories  from different works of the author. As always, the descriptive language is to be focussed on. We see lovely characters floating before our eyes as if it were a movie, when one starts reading the bundle of funny as well as gripping pages of the book. The classic chronicle is a slightly abridged version of R.K Narayan's Swami and his friends but is brilliantly arranged and includes two other tales of the immortal character, Swami. Swami, Mani, and Rajan become friends and face a lot of incidents together. Tales speak of the little boy and his school teachers, his grandma, his new born brother, and entertain you a lot.  Naughty  Swami also runs away from his house in one of the tales ........What happens after that? Discover it yourself.The author, takes us to a wonderful atmosphere of school boys and help us realize the importance of childhood. Hans Christian Anderson is almost known by everyone including those who are not interested in books. The book I am writing about is a set of enchanting stories from the well known author's works and delighted me when I read it. The collection includes <b><u>The  Fir Tree,The Swineherd, The Rose Elf, The Story of the year, The Storks,The ugly duckling, The wild Swans, The emperor's new clothes, The Real princess</u></b> and 14 other tales with non-coloured illustrations. Three Men In A Boat

<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">Jerome. K. Jerome has a book to offer to you-Three Men in a Boat. The book is not as impressive as I expected it to be. The language is monotonous and didn't encourage me to stick to the book.  Still I did finish it. It is quite obvious that the writer has tried to to induce a lot of humour in a simple truthful manner  in the piece of work but has put it in a way that is difficult to interpret. The sales of this book has exceeded a million but I still  felt while reading the book that the prolonged texts bored me. The incidents in this are true and the thing that is to be appreciated without fail about this book is  the description of the tour on River Thames that the book revolves around. It can act like a travelogue for few.The three leading characters of the book are George, Harris and Montomerency, the most irritating dog ever. According to the author the book's hopeless and incurable veracity cannot be surpassed by any other thing discovered. The  tale revolves around a notorious leopard who was the cause for the massive terror and loss of approx. 125 lives during a long period of 8 years(1918-1926) in a wide spread area in the Garhwal region. The incidents that were faced by the local people and Corbett are clearly mentioned in this 164 pages book and are sure to grip your mind until you complete the book.The Epilogue of the book will leave its impression forever in your heart. Although Corbett had killed the leopard only for a good purpose, he shows great sympathy for the beast as it was just trying to survive by fulfilling its hunger. This book will be one of the most valued possessions for environment, nature and wildlife lovers as well as for those who are interested in reading books with good, descriptive and vivid  style of writing.You'll find this quote behind the book saying-" Part of the power of Corbett's writing lies in the maddening faithfulness with which he recalls and recreates the smallest details of his hunts." <div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">A very cute book written for children by Johhana Spyri and is one of my most favourite books. The work of art is heavily appreciated all over the world and one must go for it to experience the beautiful world of Heidi, the lead of the book who is an orphan girl living her life in two places, one with her grandpa who has a serious and grumpy personality and has broken relation with all his locals and regains love for him in the society on the arrival of his sweet grand daughter. Later it is discovered by the reader that within this tough personality lies a wonderful and affectionate human being. The second part of  Heidi's life is in Clara's house. Clara is the daughter of an extremely rich father but the only unfortunate thing in her life is that she is unable to live without a wheel chair. The five year old orphan is sent to Clara's house to give company to her. Heidi proves that she is a child who cannot be resisted to be loved and also becomes Clara's best companion.On the other hand Heidi is the only friend Peter possesses  Peter lived in the nearest village to grandpa's house and is a shepherd cum teenage school boy. Both Peter and Heidi help us to visualise the beauty of the Swiss mountains and the surrounding nature. When Heidi returns to her grandpa from Clara's house, Peter feels neglected by the little girl. The problem occurs only when Clara pays a visit to the village during her holidays. Peter loses his temper and breaks Clara's wheel chair secretly. But this proves to be  beneficial as Clara learns to walk and move by her own.The story ends beautifully.  Though I've revealed the whole surprise of the book in short, please read it to get the original essence of the beautiful and easy writing and to float in the fragrance of the Swiss Alps. Little Women

<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">Little women is a true classic book which should be read by people from all ages. Written by renowned American author, Louisa May Alcott, the story is set in the March family consisting of Mrs March(a loving mother), Mr March (a father who lived away from his family to earn for them) and their four daughters, Meg, the eldest and most responsible; Jo; a little boyish, very brave and rough; Beth, very sweet and obedient; and Amy, the younest, cutest and most innocent one(age wise-eldest to youngest). Hannah was the family's servant maid, but was considered a part of the lovely family. The family is a really cheerful, brave and positive one and will give you a lesson i.e. never to lose hope. The tale is written in an old style but promises to entertain and amuse you till the last word of the book. It is an evergreen novel which cannot be put down. Now let's come to the story which describes the troubles and incidents faced by the March  family. Though the story has a happy ending, you still feel it should have been continued further and this is the speciality of any good book. However, this encourages readers to continue reading the sequel of the book( Good Wives and Little Men). While going through the pages of the book, you'll also meet Laurie who was a neighbour(a boy living with his grandpa) but did much more than a neighbour for the family. Laurie was Jo's best friend and was called Teddy by her. You'll also come across John towards the end of the book. He is Meg's pheonce'. Adventures of Robin Hood

<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">Everybody's choice differs. The book Adventures of Robin Hood did not impress me as much as other books in my collection did. The factors which drove me not to like the book, though this is the most famous work of the author, Roger Lancelyn Green, include the difficult language used and that I was unable to visualise the events of this book (was not able to get involved into the incidents taking place in the novel and feel that I'm a part of the book). Many other people adore the novel, so I recommend you to read the 295 pages novel. It may convince readers who enjoy old style of literature. The story is interesting and revolves around Robin Hood, the legendary outlaw hero who robs rich people to fulfill the needs of the poor and needy with his wife Maid Marian and the group of Merry men in the huge forest of Sherwood. There was a king who always killed his wife the night after his marriage in some strange fear. A woman, who gets married to him, will be on the verge of getting killed, and then she starts to narrate a tale to the king, to live longer. It so happens that every night the king tries to kill her but she escapes by telling a tale. After 1001 nights, the king gains trust on her, and never tries to kill her. Because of this, this book is popularly known as "One Thousand And One Nights". Book is average, not bad and not good. Anyway, I liked this book a little because of the old language used.
