Translated by Sir Richard Burton, this wonderful book consists of 1001 stores from Arabic and Persian collections. There was a king who always killed his wife the night after his marriage in some strange fear. A woman, who gets married to him, will be on the verge of getting killed, and then she starts to narrate a tale to the king, to live longer. It so happens that every night the king tries to kill her but she escapes by telling a tale. After 1001 nights, the king gains trust on her, and never tries to kill her. Because of this, this book is popularly known as "One Thousand And One Nights". Book is average, not bad and not good. Anyway, I liked this book a little because of the old language used. Not recommended for children.
