Heidi

A very cute book written for children by Johhana Spyri and is one of my most favourite books. The work of art is heavily appreciated all over the world and one must go for it to experience the beautiful world of Heidi, the lead of the book who is an orphan girl living her life in two places, one with her grandpa who has a serious and grumpy personality and has broken relation with all his locals and regains love for him in the society on the arrival of his sweet grand daughter. Later it is discovered by the reader that within this tough personality lies a wonderful and affectionate human being. The second part of  Heidi's life is in Clara's house. Clara is the daughter of an extremely rich father but the only unfortunate thing in her life is that she is unable to live without a wheel chair. The five year old orphan is sent to Clara's house to give company to her. Heidi proves that she is a child who cannot be resisted to be loved and also becomes Clara's best companion.On the other hand Heidi is the only friend Peter possesses  Peter lived in the nearest village to grandpa's house and is a shepherd cum teenage school boy. Both Peter and Heidi help us to visualise the beauty of the Swiss mountains and the surrounding nature. When Heidi returns to her grandpa from Clara's house, Peter feels neglected by the little girl. The problem occurs only when Clara pays a visit to the village during her holidays. Peter loses his temper and breaks Clara's wheel chair secretly. But this proves to be  beneficial as Clara learns to walk and move by her own.The story ends beautifully.  Though I've revealed the whole surprise of the book in short, please read it to get the original essence of the beautiful and easy writing and to float in the fragrance of the Swiss Alps. I assure you that reading this classic Swiss novel will bring true pleasure to you and that you'll become a part of the book.
